Support for Critical Firmware Updates

• Created a site-wide banner to alert users about the critical firmware update.
• Created a status page that indicates any devices that require updating.

Failure to update devices that are still communicating by Oct 12, 2018 will need to be manually updated after that date.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed minor user interface issues from the previous alarm template changes. No functional changes here.
• Saving a template would fail without alerting a user if no channels were applied
• Re-added the save as template checkbox to the custom alarm creation form
• Added additional contextual information to event log/audit trail entries relating to not reporting alarms
• For users who’s subscriptions have expired and attempt to use alarm templates, we clearly notify them of relevant limitations
• Prevent users from saving a blank channel name.
• Cleaned up event logs so actions that happen at the same time appear as a single entry (e.g. when you invite a user and grant them their initial permissions).

Support for SMS and Voice Alarms

• Added Armenia (+374) to the available list of countries that can receive text messages and voice calls for alarms.

This is the same as the pervious version (2.4.27) but has the new security certificates to address Google’s decision to distrust some existing certificates.

Alarm Templates

• Template creation is now more streamlined, providing directions to every step along with a progress bar that marks the completion progress of the template.
• Templates page to now display how many channels each template is applied to. Selecting an alarm template will now allow a user to edit or see an overview of the template.
• Choosing to edit an Alarm Template’s Name, Conditions, Notification, or Channels will now redirect the user to an edit page that provides information and directions on how to complete the step.
• A contact may now be created while in the process of creating a new notification policy.

While functionality is the same, we’ve cleaned up the terminology used throughout the site for increased clarity and consistency.

Alarms

• The UI for the alarms on a device’s alarm page have been updated to more clearly indicate which alarms are applied, how they behave, and when they are triggered.
• The UI for creating an alarm has been updated to match that of alarm templates, but is functionally the same.
• A contact may now be created while in the process of creating a new notification policy.
• Added the ability to call or text numbers in Poland.

As with the alarm templates, while functionality is the same, we’ve cleaned up the terminology used throughout the site for increased clarity and consistency.

Efficiency of Use

• Users can now add create a Location from a Device’s Settings page. This can be done without leaving the Device’s page.
• Actions “kabob” or menu on a device row. When looking at a list of device, you will see a kabob on the right which will display a menu with shortcuts to: device overview, device settings, device alarms, or run an export.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed a bug where read-only users were allowed to create alarm templates.
• Removed data upload button for non-legacy devices (applies only to those using the legacy upload functionality)
• Deleting a report no longer deletes the report’s history
• Fixed a formatting error where alarms were being cut off at the bottom of the report page
• Alarm templates set to “My Login Only” no longer are deleted if the user who created them is deletedd
• Calibration date will no longer show as “Unknown” for DWEs on the device’s settings screen.
• Emails for not reporting alarms will no longer contain *|CURRENT_VALUE|*
• Fixed monthly reports to send on the 1st instead of 31st day of the month
• Added PSI to available differential pressure units
• Fixed conditions resulting in Factory Calibration date incorrect on calibration report

Infrastructure

• Created new database infrastructure for future improvements. No customer data resides or interacts with this infrastructure at these release notes.

• Fixed bug that prohibited some menu options from populating on drop down menus
• Updated subscription redemption behavior to allow users to redeem new subscriptions without overriding the previous one
• Forced all new user and password reset links to expire after 72 hours
• Fixed bug that prevented some contact data from displaying when creating a template from a device alarm
• Enabled automatic device registration to DicksonOne via the latest WiFi connection widget
• Force temperature unit changes to update on touchscreen devices immediately

• This is a follow up release to the previous one that includes a very minor upgrade to the Ruby platform. This upgrade does not impact or change any functionality.
